The performance installation APHRO SPACE PHUNK - WELCOME TO THE FUTURE deals with the African diaspora and its cultural productions. She addresses and analyzes structural racism, (German) colonial history and its connections to the invisibility of Black diasporic culture and science. The artistic team around the Hamburg director Mable Preach climb into a spaceship and set off into new dimensions - both future and past - to revive the forgotten roots of pop culture products and at the same time cast speculative, empowering looks into the future.
